Summary
Mr. Rémy Rebeyrotte questions the Minister of the Economy and Finance on support for the activity and development of artistic crafts. Artistic crafts and their jobs span urban and rural areas. It supports employment and know-how, so precious, in towns and villages. Like many sectors, it is going through a period of change and turbulence, and must meet numerous challenges: transmission of knowledge to younger generations, development of learning, integration of digital technology into creation and administrative and commercial operations, etc. To facilitate the maintenance and sustainability of its activities, an adapted VAT rate on artistic craft products, even temporarily applied, would be a serious support to get through this difficult period and to show the attachment of the public authorities to these creators who combine craftsmanship and culture, work of the mind and the hand. He would like to know if the Government can study this possibility.
