Summary
Ms. Michèle Tabarot draws the attention of the Minister of State, Minister for Ecological and Inclusive Transition, to the difficulties encountered by Wildlife Conservation Centers in the face of the decline in their resources. However, they play a major role while human activities have deprived birds and mammals of their habitats and peri-urban development is increasingly encroaching on natural spaces. THE Wildlife conservation center for the PACA region, located in Buoux, closed in February 2019 and no longer allows the reception of more than 1,500 wild animals in distress each year, due to lack of financial guarantees from the public authorities. However, this center has existed for 23 years. Many centers in France encounter the same difficulties which sometimes force them to close. In this regard, association leaders regret a lack of public support. In view of these elements, she would like it to be able to specify, on the one hand, its strategy for the protection and safeguarding of wildlife and, on the other hand, to make known its intentions concerning the reaffirmation of the support of the public authorities for associations which work in favor of the protection of wildlife.
