Summary
Mr. Sébastien Huyghe draws the attention of the Minister of Solidarity and Health to the compensation system for victims of meningiomas resulting from taking the drug Androcur. A recent study carried out by the National Medicines Safety Agency (ANSM) estimates that 500 women in the country were affected by meningioma having been exposed to cyproterone acetone, or Androcur, between 2007 and 2015. These victims are today particularly affected in their daily lives, but have to date not been compensated for the damage suffered. Considering the precedents created by the scandals linked to Mediator and Dépakine, he therefore asks whether the Government intends to implement a system to repair the damage suffered by the victims in the form of a compensation fund.
