Summary
Mr. Alexis Corbière draws the attention of the Minister of Solidarity and Health to the risks in terms of public health of chemical and electromagnetic hypersensitivity. These pathologies, little known to the general public, could affect up to 10% of the French population. They are characterized by symptoms such as nausea, chronic fatigue, dizziness, migraines but also respiratory discomfort and skin inflammations. The appearance of these conditions comes from exposure to chemicals and waves, very present in daily life. This may include cleaning products, cosmetics and WIFI waves or waves emanating from other household appliances and telephone networks. Since March 2012, the European Parliament has recognized chemical and electromagnetic hypersensitivity by recommending to States members to include these diseases in their own statistical classifications as well as in their lists of occupational diseases. However, there is no official recognition of these pathologies in France. Affected patients are today considered depressed, without any treatment or support being offered to them. The daily lives of affected patients are greatly disrupted. HAS cause of unbearable headaches, intolerance to waves from wifi, and insomnia which accompany these pains, these sick people can neither carry out a normal professional activity, nor even lead a fulfilling social life. Isolation to better protect oneself from waves and products is often the only solution adopted, due to lack of support. Recognition of these diseases is therefore a lever essential for better diagnosis and better treatment. He therefore asks him to reveal his intentions on this subject, with a view to improving the daily lives of people suffering from chemical or electromagnetic hypersensitivity.
