Summary
Mr. Jean-François Portarrieu draws the attention of the Secretary of State, to the Minister of State, Minister of Ecological and Inclusive Transition, to the creation of a sector for the recovery of biowaste in catering. In fact, the catering sector produces nearly 10 million tonnes of bio-waste each year. While these are today incinerated or buried, the sector is proposing the creation of a recovery sector of these organic wastes. It would now have the skills and technologies to transform them into methane and thus supply nearly 3 million homes in France with green energy. In addition, this modern project, which would be part of an ecological and responsible, ambitious and realistic transition policy, would allow the creation of several thousand jobs. The State could therefore support the launch of this new sector by developing tax incentives for these professionals through, for example, a temporary tax credit. Therefore, he would like to know his position on this subject and to know if such a project could be considered within the framework of the bill relating to the fight against waste and the circular economy.
