Mr. Jean-Pierre Vigier draws the attention of the Minister of Agriculture and Food to the issues related to the different species of ragweed. Indeed, these invasive species are harmful to human health due to their allergenic pollens. As part of a global approach to ragweed risk management, there is a real need to regulate ragweed as harmful organisms to plant health at the national level. This complementary classification would thus make it possible to facilitate the synergies of all stakeholders and to set up a compensation program for farmers actively fighting these issues, both for the protection of their crops and for their health and that of the French.
