To date, despite some developments and a sargassum plan, the results of which are still awaited, it is necessary for Martinique to be able to apply the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health concerning: the census of people at risk during strandings; algae removal stranded daily and within 48 hours at most; the marking of stranding areas and the collection of algae in the open sea, with daily coastal collection in addition; or the training and prevention of the agents concerned. There are currently 13 municipalities affected by this scourge and it is necessary to put in place adequate measures before the situation worsens.
