Summary
Mr. Bernard Reynès draws the attention of the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery to the situation of lessors of tourist residences. In this context of the covid-19 health crisis, several management groups of these tourist residences have decided, unilaterally and without prior consultation with the owners, to suspend the payment of rent due to force majeure not included in the commercial lease binding them. These tourism operators are large groups which also impose lease renewal conditions, most often sharply reduced, on individual lessors who are in principle isolated and therefore in a weak position. He therefore wishes to know what the Government intends to do to oblige operators to communicate detailed information to landlords regarding the economic performance of their investment per residence or tourist village and more generally improve the regulation of tourist residences in the short and medium term.
