Summary
It should be remembered that ambulance drivers in mobile emergency and resuscitation structures (SMUR) will benefit from two major advances decided within the framework of Ségur de la santé: - an increase in their remuneration due to the allocation of the additional index treatment (183 euros net per month since December 2020) as well as a revaluation of the index scales in the first levels following the announcements of the salary meeting of July 6, 2021; - a re-engineering of ambulance training and the skills framework: this highly anticipated overhaul, carried out with representatives of the profession, will extend ambulance training to make it even more suitable. Following this work, a re-engineering of training to adapt to the employment of SMUR ambulance personnel will also be examined with representatives of these professionals to update their repository in line with the skills deployed in the field. Furthermore, it should be noted that there are already elements of remuneration to enhance the SMUR exercise of these professionals: 20 new index bonus points (NBI) are allocated to “ambulance drivers permanently assigned to driving intervention vehicles for mobile hospital units acting within the framework of an urgent medical aid service or a mobile emergency and resuscitation service” (art. 1, 11°, of decree no. 92-112 of February 3, 1992 relating to the new index bonus attached to jobs held by certain hospital public service personnel), which makes it possible to recognize the specificity of their exercise and to translate it into additional elements of remuneration. Furthermore, the decree No. 92-6 of January 2, 1992 granting a lump sum risk allowance to certain hospital public service agents provides that agents working at least half of their working time in one of the listed structures (including SMUR) are eligible for this compensation. Article D. 6124-13 of the Public Health Code (CSP) provides that the SMUR intervention team includes at least one doctor, one nurse and one conductor or pilot.
