Summary
Mr. Luc Geismar draws the attention of the Minister for Energy Transition to the concerns raised by the out-of-home catering sector, which relies on a network of temperature-controlled warehouses and which is therefore required to respect the cold chain. The continuity of such an activity and of the entire sector, which ensures the delivery of meals in nursing homes, hospitals, educational establishments and prisons in particular, is dependent on secure and affordable access to the energy supply network. In order to ensure the sustainability of the sector, the MP asks the Minister if she could recognize the essential nature of the out-of-home catering activity, in order to make it eligible for the energy tariff shield. Also, it seems essential to preserve the sector from planned load shedding, which risks impacting strongly the functioning of the various public services mentioned above. He would like to know if it would at least be possible to ensure that a 48-hour notice period is ensured in the event of an outage.
