Summary
The Ministry of Health and health agencies are committed to full recognition of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases and to effective care of all patients. In January 2017, the ministry implemented a plan to combat Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. The objectives of this plan are to strengthen prevention, improve and standardize patient care by updating recommendations, and organizing specialized consultations for patients with tick-transmitted diseases. The High Authority for Health (HAS) has already published recommendations for good clinical practice. These recommendations, accompanied by practical sheets, are accessible on the HAS website. They must allow all doctors to take responsible, in a harmonized manner on the national territory, for the different forms of the disease.
