Le 2 juin dernier, une panne massive sur le réseau de l'opérateur Orange a fait obstacle à l'acheminement de 10 000 communications d'urgence ayant, vraisemblablement, causé la mort d'au moins quatre personnes. Le Sénat a souhaité prendre toute la mesure de ce dysfonctionnement en instituant une mission de contrôle conjointe à cinq de ses commissions permanentes.
