The Law on Amendments to the Law on Narrowing the Acquisition of Immovable Property

Kinnisasja omandamise kitsendamise seaduses (KAOKS) tehakse kaks muudatust, millega laiendatakse isikute ringi, kelle suhtes kinnisasja omandamise korral KAOKSi kitsendusi ei kohaldata. Eelnõu mõjutab riigi sihtasutuse majandustegevust, mis on seotud põllumajandus- ja metsamaa ostmise ja kasutusega, ning kohaliku omavalitsuse üksuse KAOKSist tulenevat loamenetlust. Eelnõuga vabastatakse Ühendkuningriigi kodanikud ja juriidilised isikud, kelle asukoht on Ühendkuningriigis, jätkuvalt kinnisasja omandamise korral riigikaitseliste kitsenduste kohaldamisest.

The bill provides for the continued participation of up to 46 defense personnel in the NATO-led training and advisory mission in Afghanistan. The mission's activities are aimed at the ministries and security forces related to Afghanistan's security issues, focusing on the higher management level of the military and police. Estonia participated in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan for 11 years (2003-2014), in the RSM since 2015, and plans to continue fulfilling its ally obligations to NATO conducted in the training and advisory mission in the current capacity. By contributing to NATO's largest ongoing military operation, Estonia contributes to improving the international security situation.
