Summary
Authorizes security personnel appointed by the United States Postal Service to make arrests without warrants while on Postal Service property for offenses against the United States committed in their presence. Authorizes the Postal Service to grant law enforcement officers of Federal, State, or local agencies used to protect Postal Service property the same powers it may grant to its own security personnel. Establishes a penalty of up to a $500 fine and/or six months' imprisonment for violations of regulations governing Postal Service property.
