Summary

Declares that any attempt by the People's Republic of China (PRC) to threaten the peace and security of Taiwan is a threat to peace and security in the Pacific and tantamount to a threat to U.S. interests. Calls upon the President to review the defense needs of Taiwan and to take appropriate actions based on such review. Affirms the right of the people of Taiwan to determine the future status of Taiwan without any interference from the PRC.
