Summary
Expresses: (1) condolences to the families of all persons killed or injured in the terrorist bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania; (2) gratitude to the people and the Governments of Kenya, Tanzania, Israel, and France, as well as to private organizations, for their assistance in the aftermath of the bombings and to the U.S. embassy guards whose heroic actions prevented even more deaths and injuries; (3) condemnation of all persons and parties involved in the bombings; (4) the determination of the House of Representatives to assist in the arrest of all persons responsible; and (5) the intention of the House to examine whether security needs of U.S. facilities overseas are being met and what kinds of tools can be employed to discourage nations from harboring terrorists.
