Bezug: Zwölfter Bericht der Bundesregierung nach § 35 BAföG (BT Drs 13/9515) Siehe auch O004, O008 und O016 Inhalt: Anhebung der Bedarfssätze um 2 v.H. und der Freibeträge um 6 v.H. zum 1.10.1998, Anpassung der Pauschalen zur Abgeltung der Aufwendungen für die soziale Sicherung entsprechend der zwischenzeitlichen Veränderung der sozialversicherungsrechtlichen Bestimmungen, Aufnahme von Förderungsmöglichkeiten für Bachelor-/ Bakkalaureus- und Master-/Magister-Studiengänge, kleinere Änderungen bei den Vorschriften zur Vermögensanrechnung, Streichung von durch Zeitablauf gegenstandslos gewordenen Regelungen; Änderung zahlreicher §§ des Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetzes sowie von § 9 der Härtefallverordnung, Aufhebung Art. 2 des 18. Gesetzes zur Änderung des Bundesausbildungsgesetzes. Der Finanzaufwand für die Leistungen nach dem Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz beträgt 1998 2,360 Mrd DM (davon: Bund 1,534 Mrd DM und Länder 0,826 Mrd DM), 1999 2,354 Mrd DM (davon: Bund 1,530 Mrd DM und Länder 0,824 Mrd DM), 2000 2,174 Mrd DM (davon: Bund 1,413 Mrd DM und Länder 0,761 Mrd DM) und 2001 2,074 Mrd DM (davon: Bund 1,348 Mrd DM und Länder 0,726 Mrd DM). Änderungen aufgrund der Ausschußempfehlung: Anpassung von Antragsfristen für die Opfer der politischen Verfolgung in der DDR an die Regelungen im Beruflichen Rehabilitierungsgesetz.
