<b>Inhalt:</b> Ratifikation des am 12. April 1999 in Bern unterzeichneten neuen Rheinschutzübereinkommens: Festlegung moderner gewässerschutzpolitischer Zielsetzungen und umweltpolitischer Grundsätze, Durchführung des Übereinkommens durch die Internationale Kommission zum Schutz des Rheins (IKSR), Organisation und Aufgaben der Kommission, Beteiligung von Nichtregierungsorganisationen; Außerkrafttreten der Vereinbarung vom 29. April 1963 über die Internationale Kommission zum Schutze des Rheins gegen Verunreinigung (BGBl II 1965 S. 1432), der Zusatzvereinbarung vom 3. Dezember 1976 (BGBl II 1979 S. 86) und des Übereinkommens vom 3. Dezember 1976 zum Schutz des Rheins gegen chemische Verunreinigung (Chemieübereinkommen/Rhein, BGBl II 1978 S. 1053). Die Bundesrepublik Deutschland übernimmt einen Anteil von 32,5 v.H. am Verwaltungshaushalt der IKSR (bisher 24,5 v.H.).
