Inhalt: Ratifikation des in Washington am 17.11.2000 von der Versammlung der Vertragsparteien beschlossenen Änderungen des INTELSAT- Übereinkommens: Umstrukturierung und Privatisierung der Internationalen Fernmeldesatellitenorganisation INTELSAT, Aufteilung in eine verbleibende zwischenstaatliche Organisation ITSO (International Telecommunications Satellite Organization) und ein privatrechtliches Betriebsunternehmen Intelsat Ltd., Einräumung vorteilhafter Bedingungen für rund siebzig Entwicklungsländer. Es entstehen keine zusätzlichen Haushaltsausgaben. Nebenschlagwörter: ITSO/Aufteilung von INTELSAT in ITSO und Intelsat Ltd.
