Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette anda kohalikele omavalitsustele suuremad õigused oma territooriumil alkoholimüügi reguleerimiseks. Eelnõu tulemusena võivad kohalike omavalitsuste volikogud piirata alkohoolse joogi jaemüüki kohapeal tarbimiseks kogu haldusterritooriumil või selle mõnes osas ajavahemikus kella 22.00-st kuni 10.00-ni, puhkepäevale eelneval ööl kella 00.00-st kuni 10.00-ni. Seaduse mõjul likvideeritakse hetkel alkoholiseaduses kehtiv lünk, mille järgi lõppevad kohaliku omavalitsuse poolt oma haldusterritooriumil asuvates meelelahutusasutustes alkoholi müügile kehtivad kellaajalised piiranguid tööpäevadel kell kuus ning puhkepäevadel kell seitse hommikul. Muudatuse tulemusel saab kohaliku omavalitsuse volikogu määrata kohalikest oludest lähtuvalt laiema ajavahemiku, mil omavalitsuse kogu haldusterritooriumil või selle mõnes osas alkohoolsete jookide jaemüüki kohapeal tarbimiseks piiratakse.
