Summary

The draft adopts the new tobacco directive of the European Union, which harmonizes the legal norms for the production, presentation and sale of tobacco products and products related to tobacco products in the member states. The bill supplements the Tobacco Act with requirements for the marketing of electronic cigarettes and e-cigarette nicotine-containing refill liquid. An electronic cigarette must not contain more than 20 mg/ml of nicotine and must contain nicotine doses evenly. Liquid containing nicotine must not contain additives such as vitamins or substances that create the impression that the product is beneficial or safe for health.
