Summary

The bill supplements the Police and Border Guard Act. The purpose of the changes is to extend the access restriction to information reflecting the method of data processing, technological solutions and security measures of the police database for a longer period of time than is provided for by the current regulation of the Public Information Act (hereinafter AvTS). According to AvTS, the term of information access restriction is up to 5 years and can be extended for up to 5 years. The draft provides for the possibility to extend the term of the restriction on access to the above-mentioned information to a maximum of 30 years.
