The purpose of the bill (60 SE) is to ratify the "Agreement between the European Union and its member states, on the one hand, and Iceland, on the other hand, regarding Iceland's participation in the joint fulfillment of the obligations of the European Union, its member states, and Iceland in the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change", which the Republic of Estonia has signed on February 25, 2015 in Brussels. In the contract it is stipulated which European Union legislation Iceland applies to fulfill the joint reporting and monitoring obligations.
