On May 21, 2014, an agreement was opened for signature in Brussels, according to which the member states of the European Union undertake to transfer the payments collected from the banks to the EU single resolution fund. The agreement must be ratified or approved by the EU member states whose currency is the euro and all non-euro area member states participating in the single supervisory mechanism and the single resolution procedure, in accordance with their law.
