Summary
Riigikogu liikmete nimetamine kohtute nõukokku toimub poliitilise kokkuleppe alusel. Tasakaalustatud esindatuse huvides tuleb pidada otstarbekaks seda, et üks kohtute nõukogu liige esindab koalitsiooni ja teine opositsiooni. Sellest tulenevalt nimetatakse põhiseaduskomisjoni ettepanekul kohtute nõukogu liikmeteks Lea Danilson-Järg ja Madis Timpson. Kohtute seaduse kohaselt kuuluvad kohtute nõukokku Riigikohtu esimees, kaks ringkonnakohtunikku, kolm esimese astme kohtunikku, kaks Riigikogu liiget, Eesti Advokatuuri juhatuse nimetatud vandeadvokaat, õiguskantsler või tema nimetatud esindaja ja valdkonna eest vastutav minister või tema nimetatud esindaja.
