Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette nimetada Vahur-Peeter Liin Riigikohtu liikmeks alates 2. oktoobrist 2023. Riigikohtu esimees Villu Kõve märgib kaaskirjas, et lisaks pikaajalisele teenistuskäigule kohtusüsteemis on Vahur-Peeter Liin panustanud märkimisväärselt ka Tartu Ülikooli õigusteaduskonna õppetöösse, täites seal alates 2009. aastast õppeülesandeid tsiviilkohtumenetluse ja tööõiguse valdkonnas. Ta on osalenud tsiviilkohtumenetluse seadustiku ja Eesti Vabariigi põhiseaduse kommenteeritud väljaannete koostamisel. V-P. Liin on kogenud ja tunnustatud jurist, kelle senine pikaajaline ning mitmekülgne töökogemus kohtusüsteemis ja Tartu Ülikooli õppejõuna võimaldab tal oluliselt panustada Riigikohtu tsiviilkolleegiumi töösse ja Eesti tsiviilõiguse edasiarendamisse.
