Summary
Riigipiiri seadus annab Vabariigi Valitsusele õiguse peatada riigi julgeoleku huvides riigipiiri ületamine. Eelnõuga tehaksegi ettepanek sulgeda Eesti Vabariigi ja Vene Föderatsiooni ajutine kontrolljoon. Arvestades julgeolekuolukorda ning toimunud rünnakuid ja prognoositavat ohtu, oleks asjakohane valitsusel langetada lühikese etteteatamisajaga otsus Eesti-Vene maismaapiiri sulgemise kohta. Sel otsusel oleks kaal vastusammuna Venemaa kasvavatele vaenulikele tegevustele.
