Eelnõus tehakse muudatusettepanekud keelevaldkonna õigusraamistiku ajakohastamiseks, et tugevdada eesti keele staatust riigikeelena ning eesti keele positsiooni ja nähtavust teeninduses. Muudatuste eesmärk on tagada, et eesti keel oleks ühiskonnas peamine teabe- ja suhtluskeel.
Olulisemad muudatused puudutavad platvormitööd tegevatele isikutele keelenõuete kehtestamist. Ühistranspordiseaduse muudatuse sisuks on taksojuhile nõutaval tasemel riigikeele oskuse nõude sätestamine teenindajakaardi saamise eeldusena. Huvikooli seaduse muudatusega sätestatakse, et õppetöö huvikoolis toimub eesti keeles.

The draft proposes amendments to update the legal framework in the language field in order to strengthen the status of the Estonian language as the state language and the position and visibility of the Estonian language in services. The purpose of the changes is to ensure that Estonian is the main language of information and communication in society.
The most important changes concern the establishment of language requirements for persons performing platform work. The content of the amendment to the Public Transport Act is the level required for a taxi driver stipulating the requirement to know the national language as a prerequisite for obtaining a service card.

Eelnõuga soovitakse, et Riigikogu teeks Vabariigi Valitsusele ettepaneku hankida venitusteta vajalik laskemoon ning teavitada Riigikogu jooksvalt moonahanke kava elluviimisest.
Seletuskirjas peavad algatajad oluliseks, et Vabariigi Valitsus taotleks moonahanke kulude osalist rahastamist ELi Eestile ette nähtud pikaajalise rahastamiskava ning saatekaubanduse tulude vahendite arvelt. Lisaks pannakse ette katta osaliselt moonahanke kava riigikaitsevõlakirjade emiteerimise teel. Täpselt samasisuline ja sama algataja poolt esitatud eelnõu (540 OE) ei toetanud Riigikogu 21.01.2025 istungil istungil toimunud hääletusel. Eelnõu sai toona 20 poolthäält, Riigikogu otsusena vastuvõtmiseks olnuks vaja vähemalt 51 poolthäält.

The purpose of the bill is to abolish the obligation to prepare sustainability reports in the European Union and thus reduce the bureaucracy that burdens companies.
Representative organizations of Estonian entrepreneurs have also criticized the obligation to submit sustainability reports and proposed to postpone the fulfillment of the obligation. For obliged companies, this is a very extensive and expensive work. Arguably, the creation of a sustainability report can lead to one company additional costs on average 100,000 euros. There are approximately 350 companies in Estonia with the obligation to submit a sustainability report.
