Summary
Eelnõu teeb valitsusele ettepaneku töötada välja metsanduse reformikava, mille eesmärgiks on Eesti metsade väljatoomine madalseisust. Eelnõu esitamine on ajendatud meie metsade majandamisel selgunud probleemidest: metsade üleraie, metsatööstuse mahupõhine areng ja vähene väärindamine, metsade elurikkuse vähenemine, metsade muutumine süsiniku sidujast heitjaks, metsa kui identiteedielemendi ümber tekkinud kriis, raskused rohevõrgustiku toimimise tagamisel ja kogukonnametsade majandusmetsadena raiumise vastuolu.
