Summary
The Government is fully aware of the tensions faced by food aid structures. In 2025, the decentralized services received, from April, a first wave of delegation of credits amounting to €57.65 million, including €39.25 million of credits under the Better Eating for All program, including an additional €10 million compared to the year 2024. However, unlike previous years, no additional credit has been planned in the 2024 end-of-management finance law. Thus, to respond to the difficulties raised by associations and prefects, the Government committed in July 2025 to providing an additional €10 million to regional credits. The allocation of these credits constitutes a significant additional effort for the budget of program 304 (support for State expenditure relating to the fight against poverty and expenditure contributing to social inclusion and the protection of people), and, although the envelope does not cover all the needs expressed, it is intended to respond as a priority to emergency situations, in particular those presenting a risk of closure of associations. Particular attention is paid to student precariousness in the territories.
