Ms. Manon Bouquin draws the attention of the Minister of Transport to the very problematic situation caused by the current configuration of motorway and road infrastructure which organizes, in Hérault, traffic between the A75 and the A9 as well as with the Thau basin and the port of Sète. Faced with this danger and the inconvenience caused, the red lights and the orders that had to be taken the mayor of Mèze to limit and pace the traffic of heavy goods vehicles and exceptional convoys cannot be enough. This is why the creation of a motorway interchange north of Mèze to relieve heavy goods vehicle traffic has been mentioned several times since the 1970s. Repeatedly requested by the municipality of Mèze, this interchange is supported, in principle, by the local authorities despite a historical lack of interest from the concessionaire of the A9 and the State for such a development. A renewed interest, however, raises a lot of hope with the agreement of the prefect of the Occitanie region for a study, for which the municipality of Mèze contacted its local partners and Vinci Autoroutes. Numerous arguments, in addition to those mentioned above, plead for a serious examination of the need and feasibility of this important development project for which land reserves already exist. It would significantly facilitate access to the west and coast of the territory while opening up a poorly served area of ​​economic activity. On a larger scale, it would also be an asset for serving the international port of Sète from the rest of France. In light of these elements, she therefore asks him if he will support the carrying out of an opportunity and feasibility study with Vinci Autoroutes and commit the State to the continuation of this project in partnership with local communities.
