Summary

Mr. Gilbert Collard reminds the Minister of Action and Public Accounts that Parliament adopted on July 31, 2018 the law “for a State at the service of a society of trust”. This text was supposed to improve the sometimes rough relations between the French and their administration. During the debates, the Minister of Action and Public Accounts proudly announced that no administration would no longer have its information paid for by premium rate calls. However, the ministry itself has just broken this promise. Indeed, through a massive mailing on August 24, 2018, the minister addressed all French taxpayers who are quite disoriented by the introduction of withholding tax; and the minister clearly indicates the Bercy number which will provide them with all the useful information. However, this number is heavily surcharged; and deadlines for taking calls into account are considerable. He therefore considers that this situation is completely scandalous: the DGFIP cannot thus trample on the promises of its minister; and it would therefore be time to create a toll-free number instead.

Machine translation from French. The official text remains authoritative.
