Summary
Mr. Frédéric Boccaletti questions the Minister of Health, Families, Autonomy and Disabled People about the worrying increase in violence against health professionals. On November 18, 2025, an SOS Médecins doctor was insulted and beaten in Tourcoing in the North; in early December 2025, a doctor was fatally stabbed in Guadeloupe. On January 13, 2026, a dental surgeon from Bouches du Rhône and his team were violently attacked. In September 2025, the Safety Observatory of the Order of Physicians made public its report for the year 2024 revealing that acts of violence against doctors increased by 26% compared to 2023. In three years, the number of attacks recorded has almost doubled, confirming that these are no longer isolated events, but a structural problem which weakens the entire medical profession. These are only the latest known figures relating to doctors' declarations. While all health professionals, both in the city and in hospitals, are affected by the explosion of verbal or physical attacks. While not all attacks are declared by the professionals attacked. In order to stem this worrying phenomenon, Parliament adopted Law No. 2025-623 of July 9, 2025 aimed at strengthening the safety of healthcare professionals. However, this cannot yet fully produce its effects due to the lack of publication of the implementing decree provided for in article 5. There is an urgent need to provide health professionals with these new tools. Also, he asks him when this decree can be published.
