By wishing to “simplify the AAH supplements”, the Government is removing the resource supplement for the benefit of the independent living increase, the supplement to the lowest amount and subject to the condition of receiving housing assistance. This will constitute a loss of 75 to 179 euros per month for the people concerned. The transitional measure lasting 10 years during which current beneficiaries of the additional resources will be able to continue to benefit from it does not allow long-term projects to be considered for their beneficiaries and, above all, ignores the particular difficulties encountered by these people, whose autonomy is thus insecure. Finally, the Government announced that it wanted to significantly increase (from 18 to 24 euros) the fixed contribution for serious acts. This increase will lead to a significant transfer of burdens to disabled, sick and disabled people, who are particularly affected by this type of care.
