Summary
Mr. Didier Le Gac draws the attention of the Minister of the Interior to the situation of firefighters working on aerodromes. Since the reform of the management of French airports, aerodrome operators can be of different types: public establishment, chamber of commerce and industry, mixed union, community of agglomerations, public limited company... The general principle in terms of labor law is to apply to employees the status or collective agreement corresponding to the main activity of the organization or company that employs them. The diversity of airport statutes therefore leads to a diversity observed in the regimes applicable to aerodrome firefighters. The collective agreements or statutes which are applicable to aerodrome firefighters differ depending on their assignment. If Decree No. 2001-26 of January 9, 2001 lays down the duties of the aerodrome firefighter and incorporates the elements of the professional firefighter status, the texts ultimately do not confer on them the same rights. Whether it concerns the index point, the organization of working time, retirement or leave rights, aerodrome firefighters are seeking a common status, whatever the nature of their employer. This is why he would like to know if he intends to change these rules in accordance with wish of the majority of aerodrome firefighters.
