Summary
Mr. Christophe Barthès alerts the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry on the very important subject of agricultural pensions. Like many French people, farmers encounter many daily difficulties with a pension more or less equal to 1,100 euros net for a full career. Certainly, the 2021 revaluation for farm managers and that of 2022 for spouses of operators are positive, but they are largely insufficient. In addition, retired farmers must still pay social security contributions (CSG, CRDS, CASA) which reduces the amount actually received and the spouses of farmers who have worked all their lives without pay, without costing society anything, are today forgotten. Twice a year, employee and self-employed pensions benefit from the increase of the minimum wage on their entire retirement. However, for retired farmers, this increase only concerns the basic pension (which is around 350 euros per month for farm managers). The Government would have promised an increase of 50 euros per month to salaried and self-employed retirees with low pensions. But former farmers are excluded from this flat rate increase of 50 euros. Madam Minister, the Farmers' pensions must be increased or even indexed to the average national pensions, i.e. approximately 1,430 euros net. What does the Government intend to do to improve farmers' pensions? Finally, he asks her if she will take measures for the wives of operators.
