Summary
Mr. Pascal Jenft draws the attention of the Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families to the situation of former miners in Moselle regarding their compulsory contribution to the general supplementary health plan, without the possibility of opting for the local plan. Indeed, article L. 325-1 of the social security code establishes a local supplementary health insurance scheme for Alsace-Moselle. It allows better coverage of health costs in return for a special employee contribution, lower than that of general regime contracts. However, underground miners, having worked on Moselle territory, are not among the beneficiaries of this special regime. This situation seems unfair for former underground miners for whom affiliation with the local regime could be more advantageous. Therefore, the MP asks to the Government if a reform is possible to allow former underground miners, having worked in the territory of Alsace-Moselle, to choose between a contribution to the general or local supplementary health scheme.
