Summary
An action plan to strengthen the attractiveness of hospital practice for the entire rehabilitation sector was launched in 2016. This plan concerns speech therapists, but also masseurs-physiotherapists, psychomotor therapists, occupational therapists and chiropodists-podiatrists. In order to promote the attractiveness of certain professions whose role is essential to the quality of care of hospitalized patients, a bonus specific has been created. This bonus, amounting to €9,000, can benefit professionals who commit for three years after their tenure to positions prioritized by shared care projects within regional hospital groups (GHT) or the AP-HP. Finally, the “professional career, career path and remuneration” protocol initiated in September 2015 will allow an index evolution of all the bodies of the public service phased from 2016 to 2022. Specific index reclassification measures for the rehabilitation sector have been decided. In this context, and specifically for speech therapists, their new index scale will result in an average salary increase of 17% spread from 2017 to 2019. This specific revaluation, complementary to general measures in the civil service, will allow a gain ranging, depending on seniority, €2,675 and €4,500 gross per year.
