Mr. Christophe Marion draws the attention of the Minister to the Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families, responsible for health and access to care, to the need to accelerate the process of universalizing the training of chiropodists and podiatrists and to support in particular the opening of a new training course within the University of Orléans. In addition, it also has important assets within the framework of the objectives of universityization as defined by the mission on the universityization of health training led by Stéphane Le Bouler at the request of the ministries responsible for health and higher education in 2017, namely: the development of research, student pathways, territorial anchoring and interprofessionality via the sharing of certain teaching units with students from other rehabilitation and rehabilitation professions (massage-physiotherapists, occupational therapists or psychomotor therapists). On the ground, the conditions to allow the opening of the training are brought together and the stakeholders support the project. Currently, the Center Val de Loire region considers that this proposal is in line with the orientations and training development strategy defined in its regional plan for health and social training (2022-2027) but the project must receive an exemption issued by the Regional Health Agency and the ministries concerned in the decree of July 5 2012 relating to the state diploma of chiropodist-podiatrist to see the light of day.
