Ils assurent une très bonne couverture du territoire national et participent à ce que chaque Français dispose rapidement du bon médicament, au moment où il en a besoin. Les représentants du secteur ont appelé l'attention des pouvoirs publics sur la dégradation des performances économiques des entreprises évoluant sur le territoire national. Cela a motivé la mobilisation de l'Inspection générale des affaires sociales pour faire un état des lieux du secteur et recueillir la vision de the whole of la chaîne de distribution.
