Summary
Lyme disease is a subject which generates a lot of concern in the territory and which is particularly monitored by the Government. At the beginning of 2017, the Ministry of Health implemented a plan to combat Lyme disease and other tick-transmitted diseases. This plan provides for the development and publication of a national diagnosis and care protocol. Work was then undertaken with the various actors and the General Directorate of Health. The High Authority for Health (HAS) published recommendations for good practices on June 20, 2018. This publication was accompanied by practical sheets, they are accessible on the HAS website. These recommendations should enable all doctors to treat the different forms of the disease in a harmonized manner across the national territory. The Ministry of health and health agencies are committed to full recognition of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases and to effective care of all patients.
