Summary
Ms. Anne-Cécile Violland questions the Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families on the recently published conclusions of the PestiRiv study, conducted jointly by Anses and Public Health France. This study, carried out in wine-growing and non-wine-growing areas, highlights the population's exposure to pesticides, including within homes and confirms the existence of transfers of these substances from outside to the interior of homes. These results once again underline the importance and complexity of the links between environment, human health and animal health, at the heart of the so-called “one health” approach. Environmental health issues are becoming increasingly pressing in different areas: quality of air, water, soil, exposure to endocrine disruptors, noise and light pollution, or further impact of climate change on public health. This multiplicity of issues calls for a coordinated, understandable and ambitious response from the State. Consequently, she asks him how the Government intends to draw lessons from the PestiRiv study and strengthen prevention actions with regard to exposure to pesticides and what cross-cutting measures it intends to implement to respond to all of the environmental health issues. Finally, she asks him if a strengthened and better resourced strategy, part of a systemic vision of public health and the environment, is envisaged in order to respond to these challenges within the framework of the integrated national environmental health policy and the “one health” approach.
