Act on amending the Penal Code and other laws and repealing the Probation and Probation Act

The purpose of the bill is to reduce repeat crime and improve legal clarity. As a result of the changes, the workload in the courts and the prosecutor's office will decrease. The work organization of the prison service and probation is becoming more flexible and efficient. The opportunities for inmates and probationers to integrate into society and live law-abiding lives are improved. The Penal Code (KarS), Criminal Record Act (KarRS), Criminal Procedure Code (KrMS) and in the Imprisonment Act (VangS). The Criminal Probation Act (KrHS) is declared invalid.
