Summary
Directs the Secretary of Defense to conduct pilot projects to test various techniques to improve defense inventory management. Directs the Secretary to: (1) develop a plan for carrying out such projects; (2) provide the Comptroller General with access to plan development information; (3) submit the developed plan to specified congressional committees; and (4) provide such committees with a progress report six months after the pilot projects begin. Directs the Comptroller General to transmit to such committees an assessment of the plan and appropriate recommendations.
