Summary
Child Abuse Notification Act of 1997 - Amends: (1) the Crime Control Act of 1990 to require a person engaged in providing an electronic communication service or a remote computing service to the public, who learns of an incident of sexual abuse through an interstate or foreign transaction or through a facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce, to report such incident as soon as possible; and (2) the Federal criminal code to authorize a person or entity to divulge the contents of a communication involved in such an incident to a law enforcement agency.
