Summary

Brady Voluntary Compliance Act - Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to provide for a 25 percent reduction (and redistribution) of funds to a State under the drug control and system improvement grant (Byrne) program unless such State has in effect throughout the State a law which requires that a background check of the type described in the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act be conducted in connection with the purchase of a handgun by any individual from a licensed firearms dealer in such State.
