Summary

Amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to exempt from certain child labor restrictions the employment, inside or outside of businesses where machinery is used to process wood products, of youth between ages 14 and 18 who are members of religious sects that do not permit formal education beyond the eighth grade. Permits such youth employment if: (1) there is an adult present in a supervisory capacity; and (2) the youth does not operate or assist in the operation of power-driven woodworking machines.
