Summary
Condemns the release of Abdel Basset Mohamed al-Megrahi, who was convicted for participating in the bombing of Pan Am 103 causing the deaths of 270 innocent people, including 189 U.S. citizens. Extends deepest sympathies to the family members of the victims of Pan Am Flight 103. Recognizes that this type of action sends a negative message to terrorists and undermines the judicial system in terrorist convictions.
