Summary
Mr. Philippe Gosselin draws the attention of the Minister of the Economy and Finance to the disastrous consequences of the application of the standard rate of VAT to sales of horses and certain services. The horse economy represents many direct and indirect jobs in France and particularly in Normandy. It is also an important source of development for territories already weakened by the agricultural crisis. Beyond a significant drop in the number of licensees over the past 5 years, the Equestrian Fund supplied by the racing parent companies has no longer existed since 2017. This is why, in view of the economic issues, it asks it to kindly indicate the measures it intends to take to support the sector and preserve the exceptional tax regime from which it benefits.
