Since 2013, the Ministry of National Education has developed a policy for the prevention and fight against violence in schools to raise awareness, prevent, train and deal with harassment in schools. Today, numerous educational initiatives, implemented by the Ministry of National Education, enable students and teaching teams to break the law of silence. Since then, according to an international HBSC (Health behavior in school-aged children) survey, school bullying has decreased in France for the first time in 2016, with a drop of 15%, between 2010 and 2014, the most significant reduction concerning sixth grade students (- 33%). But efforts must continue. This must notably involve raising awareness among staff schools in general (teaching team, canteen staff, etc.) but also students. Because very often, students affected by bullying do not have the courage to react alone. We must therefore encourage adolescents to talk to adults about the problem. Today, the fight against school bullying must be a priority for the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research. In fact, harassment will against the values ​​defended by the school: respect for everyone, acceptance of differences, learning citizenship.
